My dad is a retired GP. He says that the thymus gland is in the neck/chest area and is stimulated every time we HUG or are hugged. It then releases a healing secretion of some kind--good for our bodies. This also happens when we see a beautiful scene, think a happy thought, or feel love.
I wonder what happens to our bodies when we are stressed out. We need more hugs and happy loving thoughts for sure!
So I appreciate the HUGS. I think I'll start signing things HUGS myself if Barbara D. doesn't mind.
