I dont post much here, have been on this site for over 2 years. I truly appreciate the support I have recieved from fellow CH'rs and the information passed thru this website.
I think I might have god news for some.
I had my second Nuero visit about 3 weeks ago. The first Nuero had never seen a cluster patient. That was a dead end. I went to a Nurse Practitioner here in Atlanta. I have met and angel of mercy!
She is more interested in preventing CH's than concentrating on the pain med's (although she helps there too!) She spent over 45 minutes with me and I gave her the medical information from this website.
She loved it! She has prescribed NARATRIPTAN ( a 12 hour Imitrex pill) to PREVENT CH'S. Since I have started with the AMERGE (Naratriptan) I have had NO CH'S in over 2 weeks! I keep my Imitrex nasal in my pocket just in case.
I have ben freed from this monster for the last 2 weeks because of this caring nurse! Her name is Sharon King at Atlanta Nuerology and she is a compassionate, caring medical headache specialist that doesn't want me (or others) to suffer!
I will be happy to give out her contact information if you contact me.
My life has changed. Pain free days mean pain free days to me now! I want to share the news! There is hope!!!!!
