my mom has horrible migranes. she took a 50mg. tablet of imitrex once and i had to call 911, she almost had a heart attack. now she takes it at 25 mg. every other day but still has chest pain. the migrane relief lasts 2 hours at the most but is it worth risking the heart attack? has anyone had any heart problems while taking imitrex. (she does not have high blood pressure and no heart disease.)
