I considered my suggestion about long term preservation
of shrooms in olive oil. I think that my idea stinks.
The reason for that being, is that if the shroom is covered
and soaked with olive oil, yes, it will likely be preserved
very nicely. HOWEVER! since the oil is covering and soaking the
whole shroom, it would be very difficult to make a tea with
'em caps because the water may not get to the shroom. I gues
some kind of broth, i.e.: like chicken broth would have
to be made for the shrooms to release their precious cargo.
