Welcome Jen,

Glad you found the board, lots of info here.

Atenolol is a beta blocker and is usually not very effective against CH. However, another class of drugs for heart diseases are helpful for many clusterheads: calcium channel blockers (especially Verapamil).

The hazards of O2 are often grossly over-estimated. In fact, you'd have to overheat the O2 tank by several hundred °F to get it burst. True, oxygen does accelerate combustion, but breathing for 10 minutes oxygen does increase the concentration in an average living room by less than half a percent (and that only assuming no ventilation). So if there is no open fire nearby, the hazard is almost nonexistent. Light up your cig after turning off the oxygen, and even Kip can no longer smoke while on it since he learnt to use a proper mask and not those nose thingies :-)

Much success in fighting the demon,
Ueli
