I was a smoker and a drinker before I ever got clusters. During my cycles I tried non smoking, non drinking, alternating and simultaneously. It never made one iota of difference.
I stopped smoking, and haven't had my cycle yet, but it has been known to skip a year. I keep getting slight attacks of pain and irritation in all the suspect places, so I know the beast is still there, despite the fact that I haven't smoked for over 6 months.
Because I wrenched my neck I had to visit a chiropractor, and had my neck "adjusted". Must say it is a very scary experience - you think they are going to break your neck and you'll be a paraphlegic for life!
But it made no impression on my clusters. My neck is much better now, thank you.
