I have always held the opinion that while stress does irritate them, I don't believe it causes them. I have had attacks during some of the most peaceful times of my life and have been pain free during some of the most stressful times of my life ( a woman once told me that my body couldn't stand to let down because I always got CH or flu or something when I got a break ).
I will say though that I too am going through the divorce fron hell and that the beast is definitely on his side! 8 weeks today and counting and my cycles are generally gone in 6. 3 headaches max. as a rule (per 24 hr.'s) this time 4 and 5 are common. Many more 2 - 4 hr. attacks on the high end of the Kip scale this time. Normally almost exclusively at night (maybe one or two stray daytime attacks) this time they are pretty random and scattered almost evenly through night and day (really cramping my style at work ... all those men who think I'm a whiney-ass b**** with a little headache who needs a good roll in the hay to fix what ails her).
As for the lawyers and judges (and in my case the lawmen who sneer at the restraining order), they have pointed me in the direction of a new career. I'm going to start counseling those considering divorce. For $100 I will give them the best solution .... Just shoot the a**hole, it's quicker, easier and a lot less painful. For the squeemish out there ... you can have them shot for $500 and take a nice vacation on the insurance policy (and don't forget the money you save on legal fees). Oh well, it's a nice fantasy anyway right?
Hang in there guy ... you are definitely not alone on this one. :)
