I wouldn't be surprised that there are few with clusters in the military since many doctors still believe that they don't attack that many young men. In my own case, I was 35 before I ever had one. I was in the Army 8 years and don't know how I would have managed if I'd had the things back then.
My doc says that about 1% of the population has had cluster headaches and I go along with that based on the number of people I've know who suffer. A more important number may be the number of doctors that know what a cluster headache is. That may be less than 1%.
