My mom had two sisters, three brothers, four out of six siblings suffered migraines or clusters. My aunt's pain was so severe, she used to pass out. I always thought my mother had migraines, until she told me yesterday, that when she had a HA, it felt like something was trying to poke her eyeball out of it's socket. Sound familiar??? At least three of my cousins suffer from killer HAs.
New research has shown that migraines are also due to a physical structure abnormality, just as CH are due to an abnormal hypothalamus gland. IMHO, I think there is some relationship to the two types of HAs.
