I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the majority of us sufferers wish to be left alone. This pain is such that even putting you hand on my arm will make everything worse, and make me want to scream louder. Also there is an embarrassment factor here too. I don't want even my most closest friend or loved one to see me like this. With that said, I will also tell you that it helps to have an ice pack ready for him if he needs it, make sure his 02 tanks are filled and ready and then remove all sharp objects in his reach (just kidding) There really isn't much else you can do to help him, but knowing that you care enough to ask us on this board will mean a lot to him. I've never taken Sansert personally, but a lot of people here have and hopefully they will answer that question for you. Good luck to you and to him. Linda Howell
