Did I miss something, is this a new therapy scheme. Divert your thoughts by playing at humor?
Here's a serious question for everyone--"Is anyone else affected by the act of smiling"? I have a real problem if I get into a situation that is really funny and makes me laugh and smile for over a moment or so. It triggers an attack everytime! I know some of you might think I'm joking however I'm dead serious! Prolonged grinning or smilling causes me to have attacks.
My increased attacks finally got the best of me and I went into the Doctor yesterday, I ended a 10 year run on being drug free and allowed them to give me Morphine, I couldn't sleep and the attacks were non-stop. I managed to sleep from 10:30pm until 2am- The longest single period of sleep I've had in well over 4 months. So now I have to deal with the guilt of failing and relying on a drug for some relief! I was so hoping it would break the cycle, but I've had 4 attacks so far since 2am and it's now almost noon!
I guess it's a good thing I belong to the thriveonline addictions group, I hope they can help with the Quilt syndrome! John
