Q -
it might be helpful for you to check the archives on a lot of this stuff
save you some time & get a bigger statistical universe
a year or so back there was a lengthy, several time replicated questionaire re: latitudes of origin, residence, etc
briefly :
people with CH were living about everywhere
people with CH had been mostly born above (higher lats) than the 45th parallel
people with CH OVERWHELMINGLY reported their primary ancestral origins to be from regions north of the 45th - the response to THIS part was startling
I KNOW you are trying desparately to see a psyhcosomatic root in CH,
but must suggest that though there may emotional/mental aspects at the point of being aggravators of existing condition,
the net takehome of cumultaive and continuing research points mopre & more at an evolutionary/physical aberration at the basic, fundamental level
another problem we need to address all the time is VALIDITY of contributory data-
whether anybody likes it or not-
a LOT of the feedback info is coming unscreened from people who simply do not demonstrate sufficient symptomatic compliance with existing clinical & diagnostic definitions to be counted as CH patients
THAT is one of the biggest problems with trying to come up with some sort of universal model, based on anecdoteal material
