I have been have chronic clusters for the last two years. they can occur everyday 2-3 times for a duration of 30 to 60 minutes. the pain level is tyopically 8-10 on the kip scale. however, if i eat some fast and slow sugars or carbohydrates right when i feel the symptoms setting in, the cluster will dissappear. this is true about 90% of the time (unless i get some msg, alcohol, smoked foods, meat tenderizers, ect.). However, i can avoid getting the headaches if i eat every 3-4 hours, keep my stress level low, and get adequate sleep. But the underlying cause of the majority of my clusters is when i am hungry (between meals). Does anyone know if the correlation between blood sugar and clusters? i haven't been diagnosed as diabetic, but i have an extremely high metabolism and always have. i have been to a nuerologists who didn't want to listen to me, only perscribe powerful, dangerous medication without doing any tests on me. i would much rather dose up on sugar and food than medication to avoid headaches.
if anyone has any info on my condition, plaease e-mail me at rosseng@msn.com.
thanks,
