In 1993-94, my cycle lasted 8 months, as oppesed to the previous cycle lasting uh...uh... man, I don't remember. My point is, with or without CH.Com, I think the painful reality is that in some people the cycles just get longer and longer.
Has anyone thought about this : in the question of episodic vs chronic, has anyone considered a chronic sufferer might not just have abnormal brain structure with extra gray matter - but an overactive hypothalamus? This might explain my problem - as I have had a sleeping disorder (that was never treated!) since the age of ten. Apparently I either had ADD or a hyperactive disorder, as my pediatrician wanted to put me on something (Ritalin?) when I was like 5 years old, but my John Wayne type father wouldn't hear of it "They aint puttin no son of mine on any drugs" - uh, sure pop-just wait till jr high - that son of yours will do them allll on his own.
Anyway, Reading through my old report cards, the common theme in the comments section is "Carl cannot sit still. He is always moving. Half of the day he is just staring out the window, staring into space." Is this an evidence of ADD or a hyperactive disorder, and if so - can this be related to the Hypothalamus?
So, maybe chronics either have a hyper-hypo, or we just have more gray matter than the episodics.
I don't know - my head hurts - think its all this thinkin I been thinkin about.
