One of our children today had a terrible headache, when we questioned him (he is 8) he said it was on one side of his face. We gave him tylenol and within 10 minutes it was gone, which we all know doesn't work that fast. With further questioning, he said it would hurt a while at school then go away for a while then come back. Not sure what "awhile" is to him. Though this is the first time he has ever had this, sure scares the hell out of us! any suggestions?
On another note, after talking with Ted, he made a suggestion that I post to the board. Did you know that Clusterheadaches are covered under the Family Medical Leave Act? My husband was approved for it since the doctor put that the duration was for LIFE! Though he may not get paid for time he takes off for appointments or when sleep is really needed, he is at least guaranteed his job! This may be worth some of you checking into! Since he is chronic, his body will basically "shut down" from time to time so, having at least one day a month he can call off is definitely a positive.
