I have been suffering bouts of cluster headaches for
the last 18 years. The most effective treatment that I
have experienced has been from the chiropractor I have
been seeing for the last 5 years. I had an attack in
1996 and he was very effective in stopping the
headaches, especially at night. Further, I did not get
another attack for the next four years (a record for
me). At present I am suffering another attack. The
cause most probably stems from neglecting to take his
prescribed precautions lately. During the remission
period I had been following his advice pretty well.
There is one significant difference that has made
this bout more bearable, and that is the fact that
the use of a chiropractic traction device at the onset
of each headache has stopped at least 90% of the
headaches in their tracks. Over the past week I have
had only four true headaches even though I am at the
peak of the attack and for two of these I was not able
to use the device. During one of the attacks I was
on a 4-1/2 hr plane flight. That certainly was a fun
ride.
I would be happy to go into the specifics of my
treatment for anyone who is interested.
Probably the real key to my improved situation was
that during the last bout I turned to Jesus for help
and I believe he led me to better treatment. I am
certainly appealing to Him again daily for relief.
