if and doubt whether full-spectrum lighting could abort an attack once it began!! They are much too fierce. We've got to PREVENT the cycle from ever beginning. For me, the trick seems to be lengthening the AMOUNT of "daylight" hrs. in the fall and winter months. Is that what you are trying to accomplish? I don't think I'll need the lights in the spring and summer months, but I doubt if they would trigger an attack outside my normal cycle.
