I don't know your history, so I hope I'm not telling you old news, but I don't usually get 100% results with verapamil until I'm at 480 mg/day (240 morning & night). My doc told me that was a pretty standard dose for clusters. Every third year or so, even that isn't 100% effective, so I combine the 480 mg of Verapamil with 50 mg of Pamelor daily. That knocks the headaches out completely, no matter what I do, eat, drink, etc. After about 3 months, I wean myself off the pills & end up medication and pain free for another 10 months or so.
If you haven't tried this, you might ask your doc about it.
