Goadsby's hypothalamic abnormality certainly can link to the melatonin abnormalities in Bob's post - that runs straight into both circadian and annular light cycles, recognized as a high likely somewhere on the root/causal side; and also into seratonin levels (linked to melatonin/hypothalamus) - the major facilitator of neural transmission , which is now pretty much agreed to be a site specific physiological problem, in CH, with the trigeminal nerve system
and DAMN ! look at this:
with 3 mg melatonin at bed - if I sit up late first, I am sleeping thru 7-8 hours with no attacks, even though precursors are recurringly present !!!!!!
