I am currently taking a very low dose (300 mg) of neurontin with celexa (antidepressent) to try to prevent my ch. It has greatly reduced them. I still have oxygen, imitrix to try to abort the ch. I take vicodin for abortive pain relief when needed and nothing else works. When all else fails I go to ER and get a shot of whatever they will give me. I have quit trying to call my neuro when the pain is bad and my meds don't work. I go to ER or urgent care. Then my neuro gets a call the next day and realizes how bad it was and offers to change meds or up them. At least I got the pain relief I needed when I needed it. This is what works for me. You may want to consider it.
