I have a dog that is very intuitive and quite compassionate. He may even suffer from clusters, I think this, because his eye droops and his nose runs and he will just start howling for no apparent reason. His howling usually begins about an hour after I go to sleep, but he may do it 4 to 6 times a day. His howlings last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours.
I think also that he knows when I am suffering because he licks me alot. One day I had a boo boo on my hand and he licked it and look at me as if to say "does that feel better" then he tried to...well you know...hump me...I just figured his seritonin levels were screwed up, but I kicked him anyway. Pet psycology only goes so far you know. But yeah why not your own drooping eye dog. He see's that your sufferingg and runs and grabs the o2 mask and your imitrex fix. Teaching them to manipulate the auto injector thingy would be the real trick though...
