DON'T DO IT!!! Don't take Fiorinal or Fioricet as they are addictive. Yes, they help in the beginning but as you keep taking them you won't know when your headache ends and the rebound headache begins. I know. I have been suffering for 27 years with chronic headaches 24-hours a day. The only thing that helped me too was Fiorinal or Fioricet. They also caused me to get ulcers from the asperin and other stomach problems. I have been diagnosed with every kind of headache there is by so many doctors. I don't think there is a doctor who knows what they are doing. I recently was diagnosed with rebound headaches from these two drugs and have been obstaining from all pain relievers (cold turkey as you might say). It is hell but it is the only way to clean yourself from these drugs. I will see my new doctor next week. I can't wait to see what she is going to prescribe for me this time. The one thing we can't do is give up. It is sad that we only have one life to live and we have to live it in chronic pain, especially when you have to work and raise a family. They don't understand that your headache controls you. I sometimes wonder what it feels like not to have a headache. I envy people who tell me that they never had a headache.
