The references I gave can be obtained from any library that contains medical journals. Just give the references to the librarian. The reason I prefer using cayenne to pharmeceutical remedies is that there are no serious side effects. All the vaso-constrictor drugs such as imitrex cause liver damage and can be risky to your heart. Drugs such as sumatriptin and the like are mimics of the hormone seratonin. These drugs can have the same side effects (such as depression, irratibility, anxiety, panic attacks) as any of the anti-depressant drugs now used. Cayenne on the other hand presents none of these problems other than a bit of burning discomfort which can be relieved quite quickly (just blow your nose and sniff a little water to rinse). I haven't measured out the amount I do but it is no more than a few milligrams. All I'm saying is that if it works for you it is far less damaging to your body as a whole than using a drug.
