Normally, my attacks begin in early spring. Then, in 1992, they came back in early fall. However, since then, they’ve gone back to the usual early spring. Till fall of 1992, attacks were always headaches only. Unfortunately, starting with that episode, I don’t get headaches during a cluster attack, anymore. Instead, I now get the harpoon in the eye, the cheekbone broken with a sledgehammer, and the electric current through the teeth. Not all at the same time, thank God, but they all happen during the same attack. The pain just changes location from one minute to the next.
You know, it shows you how people are never satisfied. I beg The Demon to take the harpoon out of my eye, so he does and switches on the dental current and, next thing you know, I’m begging for the harpoon back. So, in the spirit of compromise, The Demon turns off the dental current and sledgehammers my cheekbone, instead. But, am I satisfied? Of course not! Before you know it, I’m screaming for anything - anything! - else.
You gotta give it to the poor Demon, though. It must be a bitch, trying to satisfy me and other picky clusterheads like me. That’s probably the reason that there are so few of us. There are just too many people like me who refuse to be satisfied taking up all of his time.
