Thanks for the info. you may have noticed in earlier posts
of mine that I have had so many rebound headaches, in the
early years of the 16 I have been experiencing these, that I had
attributed to meds. I had abandoned many of the conventional
meds, (in some cases they abandonded me!)and substituted ice, hot showers, pressure
and alot of "positive thinking" or "this is killing me but I havent croaked
yet and probably wont this time either" type of thoughts, while dancing with
the demon. Now I know some correct terms and I can say that I have been
successfully employing RET and cognitive restructuring for the management of my
Cranial Ravishing Acute Pain Syndrome (CRAP'S)!
So for what it is worth - while not an abortive, it certainly
has helped me. I have found that if I give in mentally, the pain seems to
escalate and my reaction then is a downward spiral. So my point...this
is just another arrow in the quiver to be delivered to the beast.
