Guess what I just found? An old box with DHE-45 ampuls inside.
I have said in many of my posts that my Father was a pharmasuetical salesman to all the doctors in Chattanooga many years ago. He died in June of 74, just a few months after my son was born.
I knew they had tried me on the stuff, but couldn't remember when.
This little box, I guess I kept it because it had my Father's writing on it, anyway, I just found it.
He had written on the top 3 - 1cc amps DHE-45 by Sandoz
I opened it an there were 2 amps left- Needless to say, they expiration date has expired. The literature inside was dated March 18, 1965. That would have made me 13 years old at the time.
This was their information sheet then, for those of you that are taking it now, compare this information.

What a find this morning. I said didn't know exactly when the diagnosis "Cluster Headache" was ever diagnosed, but it is listed here and that was March 18, 1995......That is just the date on the packaging. If I got it about that time, I would have been 13, before that I guess I would have been about 12. I remember going through some difficult times about then, but didn't remember how old I was. I guess with my brother passing out with his, and then me coming along with them, I bet my parents were about to pull their hair out by the roots.
Just for you information. I would love to hear from some of you all that are presently taking DHE-45. Has the terminology changed in Sandoz literature?
