I just contacted the New York Headache Center to see if they were doing any clinical trials on cluster headaches. Unfortunatly they are not at this time but the Dr. sent me this message back. Maybe someone can benefit or have some further input.:
We are currently are not doing any trials involving cluster headaches. I
would suggest trying intravenous magnesium. Melatonin taken nightly has been
also reported to help two pateints with clusters and I hae one patient who
also benefited. Botox is another treatment that is available outside the
trials; Botox has been on the market for 10 years for other indications.
