Hi ,
I am a supporter . My sufferer is my soon-to-be husband. It is so hard for me to watch him and be
helpless. I have sooooo many questions , but we are
only just beginning to learn . For 3 years we thought
he had migraines . The other night I stumbled acrossed
this wonderful place. We have tried Imitrex , however
the side effects are pretty bad and it doesnt seem to work very well. From reading different things here the other night we have learned more in 3 hours, than in 3 years. It is very hard to deal with his illness but I am in it for the long haul. He has two beautiful daughters to live for . I am just here to remind him how much he is loved . To all of you sufferers,
I am hopeful that you are all Pain Free & you have many people who love and support you . I know Matthew C. says the only thing that makes him feel any relief is my presence. Just knowing your not alone makes a difference. Of course it would be nice if my being there for him would take the pain away , but unfortunatly not so.
I am sure now that what he has are clusters.He has all the symptoms and of course the doctor did not say anything helpful. The one we went to see blamed his pain on a sinus infection . Matthew took the antibiotics and the headachs did not go away.so I began to wonder what else could be the culprit.We have been to neurologists,dentists,herbal specialists,and the occasional er visit . We don't get much sleep right now , we are in the middle of a cluster. I have an intresting little bit of info,,for 1 week Matthew has made an effort to not take meds. The headaches go away suddenly in about 3 hours . When he does take meds they don't ever totally go away . He gets one @7 o'clock and another @3 am every day and night. I am so full of excitement to be able to talk to others who know, I could talk all night!!!!!!!
