I take 50mg at bedtime to help me

The mechanism of Desyrel's (Trazodone)
antidepressant action in man is not
fully understood. In animals, Desyrel
selectively inhibits serotonin uptake by
brain synaptosomes and potenates the
behavorial changes induced by the serotonin
precurser , 5hydroxytryptophan. Isn't 5-HT
supposed to be good? Help us out here Doc.
