Well, yesterday I called my Dr.'s nurse practioner and left a message stating that I was surprised and very dissappoited that I had not heard from my Dr. since she came back Monday or from her. She called me back to tell me that she would put my chart on her desk and call me the next day during my Dr.'s call-in hour and make sure that we connect.
She said she would call at 2pm and it was already 3pm and I had not heard from them. I was really in shock and totally confused as to why I wasn't getting anywhere, although I have major complaints about the clinic's other doctors and their hospital unit, I've always been happy with my doctor up until now. Then the phone rang:)
She said that I had what they call a dystonic reaction (which does NOT mean I have dystonia) from the phernergan, and it was not a drug interaction. So as speculated earlier, their decision to put me on Wellbutrin while I was on Phernergan was not a mistake on their part afterall. She said that it's not a "allergic" reaction but that it can be a side effect where the muscle spasm uncontrollably and in my case terribly where my air was cut off.
It is in the same family (or cousin) as compazine (which makes me feel like I am going to crawl out of my skin) and thorazine. She said that it's unpredictable and that you may be able to take it one day and not the next. So be careful if take any of these.
She also said that the Depakote it probably kicking in and is what is helping my clusters and that it kills two birds with one stone (the migraines too). I have to make sure though, that the vaproic acid levels in my blood (I guess to avoid liver problems).
In regards, to this all over headache, she didn't answer me???!!! So who knows.
Phil, and Irene, thanks for the tip on Dr. Robbins. It's funny, 3 1/2 years ago when this first started I was researching on the internet and I found his sight, but in my travels I hadn't heard anything about him, and I totally forgot about his site. I am going to look into it, although my dr. called me, I don't know what I feel like doing. And... Phil, what post are you talking about? Regardless, don't worry about it, I do that all the time. Thank you for your concern, I appreciate it and I 'm glad your only having shadows, keep well.
Well that's all, hope everyone is having better days and to those of you who are not, my thoughts are with you.
