I also have the impression that Verapamil stretches out my cycles. My first cycle, way back in 1956, lasted through only two attacks of about 45 minutes each, one a day for two days. My current cycle, the first with Verapamil, has been with me since February. However, the attacks are so weak and so few and far between, since I’ve been doing Verapamil, that I could easily deal with them for the rest of my life without raising a sweat. Before the Verapamil, no cycle was ever longer than two months, but it was two months of the ususal indescribable agony that we’re all only too familiar with.
I started with 120 mg. a day, which helped not at all, saw a different doc, who said, “This stuff will work, but you gotta take enough of it,” and upped the hit to 480 mg. a day, which worked like a charm. Now, 240 mg. a day is enough to get the job done.
