Thomas Jefferson/Cluster Sufferer

Someone told me today that Jefferson suffered Clusters. They also said he used canabis in different forms to combat the pain.
This escaped me in the history books.
Can someone offer some insight to this, or guide me to a good book on Jefferson that contains this information?
