Most Importantly, follow your docs orders. you can do a search on the many available sites related to drugs and side effects. I take 380mgs of verapamil SR a day;AM and PM. the side effects I experience,which is indicated on my information insert, dizziness if I hop out of my ez chair too quickly, blurred vision,weakness,some nausea,muscle cramps,some flushing,and constipation. But these are not major problems that effect my wellbeing. Constipation, blurred vision and slight weakness are the major side effects
According to my pharmasist and neurologist, one will experience dizziness at a greater degree during the first few days of administration.
Rarely, swelling will occur in feet. He also mentioned to avoid grape fruit. Why,I do not know.
I want to mention that my neurologist stated that undermedication can be totally ineffective; I was on 240 mgs and found no relief. When perscribed 380 mgs, it really worked well.
