Carl and i had a similar discussion earlier in here,
and we agreed that the consumption of alcohol (beer)
would bring on a cluster if there was one ready to
present itself. We also noticed that during a 'hangover'
stage the cluster monster would stay away.
If i drink one beer i get a 'hangover' the next day. (And
an almost immediate cluster headache)
Similar to hay fever and a little dehydrated would be
my definition of a hangover..not necessarily the time
of promising one's self 'never again'.. This is a useful
tool for someone who is chronic and just 'has' to be able
to function without a cluster the next day. I don't recommend
for anyone to drink but i used this tool for years, since
the periactin and inderal seemed ineffective. I personally
believe that the consumption of alcohol has the same
effect as narcotics and only tends to lengthen a cycle.
We also found a common experience of never getting a
cluster while having the flu or a bad cold. What would
that mechanism be, i wonder?
Wishing everyone painfree days a'head.
