This is definately not a cool thing to suffer with. Laying down makes my ch worse also. When a ch wakes me, I am usually very tired, but if I choose to stay in bed forget about it, it just gets more intense. I have to get up at the first sign and take something. I used to think maybe this time it will be a mild one- well, bulls**t on that, now I take something immediately when I feel the slightest inkling of one coming on. This way, by the time the headache starts getting strong, the medicine has kicked in, and I am able to abort it, or maybe turn it to a mild one instead. When it's gone, or when I feel safe about it I veeery slowly put my head down on the pillow again, because even a mild headache drains my energy. A lot of Doctors are still uninformed about clusters. That is why I keep doing my own research for alternative therapies, as silly as they may sound. Stay well.
