I applied for SSI benefits at the advice of my Doc about 4 years ago. I've suffered with CH's for over 10 years with the last 7 being chronic, I was approved within 6 weeks!! I heard horror stories regarding SSI being dificult to obtain! When the woman called from the SS office she was crying....she said to me(I was only 28 then..)"You must be one sick little girl...now you dont have to worry quite as much!" Bless her heart, but also, she told me that I was the first approved CH case she had EVER seen and the first for sure in the state of Arizona!! It only took me 6 weeks...give it a try, it's not as horrible as people have led me to believe!!
