Jen,
Please assure Bryan he is not alone. I have been chronic for 10+ years, and there are lots of other chronics on this site. I have tried most, if not all, the "cures", and have found that many of them work, but we chronics have a special problem. Either the meds stop working, cause rebounds, or the side effects drive you nuts. For example, lithium made my hands shake so badly I couldn't set a coffee cup down without spilling half of it. Sansert was good, but I kept needing more. After a year and a half I had to quit it because I developed a heart murmur. Imitrex has a rebound problem with the shots for some folks; I have not tried the pills yet. I still rely on good old injections of DHE-45 (ergot), but it gets pretty old jabbing yourself deep into a muscle with a 25 gauge needle every day.
I will add my name to the list of people who would be happy to correspond by e-mail with Bryan regarding his CH's. Boy do I know how depressing it is to feel so alone with such an evil demon. This site is a real blessing.
No pain,
John Bown
