Hi Katja,
I'm in my third cycle now since these started in 1993. During
my second cycle, I was perscribed propranolol and cafergot by
a Dr. I no longer see. I learned to get pretty good at controlling
daily and nightly CH with the Cafergot, but the Propranolol
I though was pretty useless. At the beginning of this cycle
I saw a Medical Neurologist in Boston who specializes in headache
pain. He perscribed Indocin as the Prophylactic (I assume you
are using the propranolol as a Prophylactic) and left me on
the cafergot as a symptomatic med. After research, I discovered
that propranolol is a treatment for migraine pain, and not for
CH. In fact, the information I read indicated that cafergot and
propranolol should not be taken concurrently.
Good luck Katja, I hope for restfull nights for us all.
