Guess people are different. Or perhaps the level of pain is different. This time around it's not too bad for me, and so there are lots of things I wouldn't do. But yes, I've been there, the burning, desperate, lonely place where you will do _anything_!
The last time I was in the neurology department, the doctor (who knew me, thegodsbethanked) refused to discharge me. He said, 'OK, so you feel better now. But tomorrow, or next week, it may hit you again and you will go crazy, absolutely insane. You will end up with a stroke, or be dead. I'm not letting you out of here before we get a handle on this.'
I don't get it either. When it has hit me 10++ 10 times in 3 days (never found the Kip Scale on the board, where is it?) I will do anything at all. Have. The only thing I haven't done so far is pull the trigger. Close though. Very.
Read a post on the board a while ago from a cop who said he was ready to start using heavy drugs, anything, maybe even heroin. That's really ugly, and I can't recommend it - but do I understand? Yes!
