My wife is like you in some ways and not in others. She owns her own business, and has had to watch others run it for her, while she can't do anything but wonder when the next headache will hit. She is the opposite in the weight, though. Because of the Prednisone, over the last year, she has gained almost 100 pounds. Her job is a Scuba instructor, so she feels lower than fish s**t about how students will look at her. But... what we all have to remember is that this beast can't keep us down forever. Wherever we are when he quits messing with us is where we have to start, and build our way back up. Now as far as your job, check with an attorney if you have to, or the labor department of Texas, and see if they can fire you when you are out sick. sounds pretty discriminating to me.
Who did you see in Houston, and did they help? I'm in Lake Charles, LA, just 2 hours away, and if they were able to stop them, I'll have my wife there by the time I'm through typing this reply!
