I think it is probably a mixture of both. ie, the male/female ratio is a lot closer to 50/50 than previously documented, plus I believe women are more likely to do something about their headaches and so find this board and hence we see more of them.
(at least in Australia, most men are very reluctant to go to the doctor and/or seek treatment for anything less than amputation of one of there limbs. I don't mean to imply that they are better at managing pain or illness, just that we would rather whinge about it rather than do anything about it.)
