Regret to say the h/a's came back the same day I posted and the same combo didn't kick them an inch. Currently prednisone, alprazolam, fiornal and the support of all you even remotely interested enough in reading this are working wonders. Haven't had a major h/a in (almost) 2 days. One interesting lead among many i followed ( sorry, forgat who posted it) is to rub peppermint oil ao pain side of temple and around eye being very carefull not to get any in the eye. I found this especially usefell towards the end of an attack to bring me out of the depths a bit faster. I am fortunate to have a compassionate wife willing to grab ice packs when I can't move and to rub the oil on when I'm still a miserable wreck.
P.S. Actually am using basil oil as we didn't have any peppermint in the house. And breathing VERY deeply nasaly the oil from the palm of the hand seems to have a soothing effect as well.
