I have yet to be diagnosed as a CH sufferer (although I believe one day I will be!) and so I have never been prescribed effective treatment. Therefore, I have become self-reliant when it comes to pain relief. My solution - which is about 60% successful - is exercise, and, in particular, jogging (about 2 - 3 miles usually). It seems radical and, sure, it hurts (!) but eventually my metabolism kicks in and the pain 'evaporates' away.
2 questions from this; 1) does it work because I am increasing my oxygen intake and 2) does anybody else find exercise effective for relieving the pain??
