I too have the swollen face but mine is left sided.I become red and puffy at the cheek bone and under the eye as the headache onst begins. I use 02 as quickly as possible but it doesn't always offer relief for long.Think this is probable rebound or breakthrough as it occurs a few hours after an imitrex injection. I am so grateful to all the help and suggestions I have received here. At the beginning my pain was so intense I could not fathom the idea of cold and 02 was really effective but a fellow support CH really insisted I try it.So I stuck my head in my freezer and did some relaxing deep breathing. My temple stopped pounding within a few minutes and the nose pain subsided in a few more. I could actually feel something open a little inside my left side under the eye and I found pleasure in that. Here I am at 2:30am with my head in my freezer,giggling with relief and then I got really upset becasue I noticed how badly this freezer needed cleaning out. HA! HA!. It has been suggested that the 02 incold form is higher in levels. I also went to my chiropractor and now have slept better than I have in one month. He provided a cervical pillow for me to alleviates some of the swelling also occuring into the left side of my neck and base of the skull.He believes the inflamation is agravated by my sleeping on my stomach with my head turned to side. He has greatly helped me just in one treatment and he was gentle and cautious with my care. I hope these things can help you too.
