When I start head banging the wife does what she can to get between me and what ever it is I am hitting at the time. She will do what she can to redirect it into her lap. No this does not always work but it is a start. Personaly I do not see the helmet staying on your head as it will not allow you to get the same effect. I still know whats going on with me while headbanging and when the wife redirects my head I still try to get to something that will cause the extra pain.
I wish I could say that that helmet would help but I feel that the hubby may end up getting hit with the helmet itself when you rip it off your head. Todd gave me an idea and that was to focus on the pain. I thought it crazy at first but by focusing on the voice of my wife and on the pain I was able to reduce the headbanging. He was right you can spead the pain out that way. I still head bang but not as much. It is hard as heck but worth it.
